In review for 2024

December 1st, 2024

Birth was obviously your first encounter with converting a potential into physical form (our physical structured world).  I’m sure most of you had a lot of help, guidance and influence.  In fact, the influence initiated in the womb, maybe even at the point of conception.  You paid a lot of attention and directed your growth via learned movement those initial years.  You stored all those little precise movements and started to generate a data base.  The movements that didn’t accomplish your desired outcome or perhaps hurt were marked as a risk.  This I believe is the source of unconscious patterns and they are not easy to identify except registered by a small odd feeling or fear; an influence without any content like language.  Language is learned movement, sound is movement, and everything else you need to define yourself as structured form soon becomes repetitive movement.  With all this repetition there is a good chance that a lot of those stored unconscious patterns will be activated and updated.  A portion may cease to exist but most are updated with attached memory in story format (sub-conscious pattern).

Have you noticed that some people have fear reactions to things like height, bugs, fire, certain noises, bats, blood, pain, etc.?  If these occurrences evoke emotions there may be an unconscious pattern behind them.  Not an easy fix but worth exploring with a professional.  If this kind of event evokes an associated story, it may be a subconscious arrangement and usually easier to disassemble.  I find that often there is a stack of subconscious patterns that are all associated and sitting atop of one of those unconscious configurations.  Often, although not always, these towers of pattens influence each other.  That much stress usually becomes a health issue that must be addressed.

Of course, there are a lot of variables that influence our human life.  Patterns show up in every aspect of life and unconscious and subconscious are the key collection recognized in the field of psychology.  In an emergency an array can react faster than anyone could think—good news if it saves your life.  Bad news if it limits your range or experience.  The unknown is always a risk but the home of potential.  I observe that what most people call a decision is often a reaction generated by a blueprint.  A decision needs three or more elements with both time and openness to contemplate.  The elements in attending are not all cognitive.  Mental states and how you learn them is referenced as theory of mind.  Language and how we build constructs for the symbols represented make a difference.  The architecture of how we form these models embeds a guide.  Adequate attention starts to reveal configuration and curiosity inspires questions.  In some people their guides or pathways are similar (a pattern to generate a pattern) but in most very diverse.  Like your unknown potential, your routing to that territory is also unfamiliar.  I would like to suggest you create your potential but it feels like you just found it when you make your mark.  Attention is always the challenging part; curiosity forms questions simply but remember to allow those answers to remain clues until you experience the wholeness as wonder and not familiar.  Your new beginning.  Next year we will initiate conversations about adapting and structure.
