Our garage is pretty clean and is carpeted. We use it a lot for projects, crafts and sometimes meetings. Still, in the morning when I open the large garage door and light streams in, I see the familiar particles of dust dancing in the air. These used to be a phenomenon in past years and considered by some as God’s blessings presented by little angels or creatures from space, both popular common human projections into phenomena. Again, there may be some truth in all those tales but it is just not logical—the human language marker. In fact, we got over this prognosis about the impression in air but the same dance in water was not so easily secured in logic. The small particles do appear to dance around and not moved by currents or temperature change. Our logical thinkers resolved it with Brownian theory.
As it turns out, the large influences are currents and temperature. However, the smaller particles are also influenced by the larger particles in proximity. Not so obvious in a small sample but long-term movement is predictable. I bring this up because I believe human groups are affected in like manner. All humans share space on this spinning globe moving through planetary space on a highly managed trajectory and the bigger conglomerate buzzing through the universe. Do you get a hit of the correlation between the two models mentioned?
This is why we teach students to “ground into Earth”, make a connection to this large particle and one that is connected to the game in our universe. Techniques that generate more awareness of what influences us, practice with separation, attention, and increasing personal energy level, offer some skills to manage those influences. Many again label these influences as guides, ghosts, past lives, aliens, etc. The only issue I see with that habit is that the labeling adds energy and complexity (makes it a bigger particle). Personal processing patterns vary with individuals such as proximity, awareness, chunk size and basic bit (storage) capacity. Paying attention and consistence over time is the key to managing influence.
Once this process is mastered, you can create your own sub-particles and assign value or tasks to them, plus time-manage them and delete those influences when the project is completed. Lots of people think of these as “guides”, but I prefer the label of symbols because of the reasons stated above and the fact that we process unconsciously with symbols. From my experience, the symbols draw in more associated data and are not so time sensitive. In structure, time is a dimensional parameter but symbols are imagined and their ability flows from potential—the ability to draw in ideas without the limitation of time now.
Balance is always an issue with influence. Our fears, state of health, and anyone in proximity can quickly offset the tranquility. Very important to pay attention and mark any change in your feelings or what you feel around you. We humans are accustomed to frequent change and often ignore most shifts. We usually attend only long enough to generate a story.
